I love to share my passion of food and cooking by teaching others to cook. I believe food needs to taste good and make us feel good, and that cooking and sharing and eating a home-cooked meal with others is the best thing we can do for our health.
Private Group Cooking Classes
When was the last time you spent some quality time hanging out with your close friends or family?
How do you find a fun, yet intimate, and even productive way, to get everyone together for a few hours?
When you book a private group cooking class with me, and you will have a terrific excuse to to get everyone together in your own home. In a 3-hour class we will prepare a full menu together tailored to your preferences, maybe pop open a bottle of wine, relax, and in the end, share a delicious meal together. Everyone leaves full and happy, and you finally found an excuse to get together with those friends you only see every three months. You’ll leave inspired and excited to try out what you learned!
Cooking classes are a great way to:
–Hang out and catch up with friends and family
–Gain confidence in the kitchen and get some dinner ideas
–Ask a chef (me!) your burning questions about food and cooking
–Expose yourself to new techniques, ingredients, and dishes
Create a Custom Menu
My specialties include, but are not limited to: making vegetables taste amazing, Turkish, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern cuisine, and overall providing fresh seasonal ingredients as well as patient and fun instruction for whatever you are looking to learn. Through email or a phone call, we will talk about what your goals for the class, and tailor a custom menu specifically to your needs and desires.
I also am knowledgeable of specific diets, including requirements for gluten-free, vegetarian, low-carb, and others.
Private group cooking classes, for up to 8 people, start at $300 for a 3-hour class, PLUS the cost of groceries. Discounts are given if 3 or more classes are booked and paid for in advance. A custom menu is created for each class, and typically includes 3-4 dishes. My teaching area includes greater Long Beach, and within 20 miles. Rates increase with increased travel distance.
My rate for one-on-one private cooking instruction is $80 an hour. This is a great option if you are looking to gain more confidence in the kitchen in a private setting. Length of time and rates vary depending upon the subject matter you choose.
Also, I host the A Good Carrot private Facebook group, where we are talking about food and cooking. It’s free, great place to learn and build community with other food lovers. Request to join today!
